KUCHING (March 27): A fire broke out in Taman Seng Goon here on Friday morning, severely damaging two houses.
The Sarawak Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) dispatched firefighters from the Batu Lintang and Tabuan Jaya fire stations after receiving a distress call at around 10.30am.
“The fire involved two double-storey houses, which were 70 per cent destroyed.
“No victims were reported at the scene,” Bomba said.
At the time of writing, firefighters are still working to extinguish the blaze.
It is learnt that one of the affected houses belongs to former Stampin MP Julian Tan, who is currently rushing back from Kuala Lumpur to oversee the situation.
