KUCHING, Sept. 15: Two adult women were injured after a car drove them into a ditch about four meters deep on Kuching-Serian Road early this morning.
According to the Operations Movement Centre (PGO) of Malaysian Fire and Rescue Department (JBPM) Sarawak, in an incident at about 4.50 am that morning, the self-inflicted accident occurred outside the Siburan Bombing and Rescue Hall (BBP).
"When the bomb squad arrived, they found a vehicle sunk into a ditch and there were two adult female victims.
"Both victims were unharmed and managed to get out of the vehicle on their own before receiving rescue aid", the statement said.
One victim was taken to hospital using a bomb EMRS vehicle, while another was sent by an ambulance of the Ministry of Health (MoH).
The operation was controlled at 5:10 a.m. and fully terminated around 6 a.m. after the situation on site was confirmed to be safe.
The operation was led by PBK I Mohamad Ismail Zulkipli with a six-member force using an FRT and an EMRS, as well as assisted by three members of KKM.-TVS
