TYT attracts a Thanksgiving party for their 80th birthday

KUCHING, 8 Oct: In the presence of the elderly Sarawak State, Tun Pehin Sri Dr Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar and his wife, Toh Aunt Patik Datuk Fauziah Mohd Sanusi attended the 80th Birthday TYT Thanksgiving Ceremony at Jamek Mosque here tonight.

Prime Minister of Sarawak, Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg and his son Dayang Norjihan, Government Secretary of Sarawak, Datuk Amar Mohamad Abu Bakar Marzuki, President of the Islamic Council of Sarawak, Datuk Misnu Taha, Deputy Minister in the Department of Premier Sarawak (Project Coordinator for Regional Development Agency, Kuching North Town Hall and Islamic Affairs), Dr Abdul Rahman Junaidi's grandfather and other names.

The ceremony began with the prayers of the Maghrib fardhu, followed by the recitation of the Yaasin chapter led by Sarawak High Priest Sahibul Fadilah Dato Mustapha Kamal Ahmad Fauzi.

The event was continued with a marhaban zikir roll by the Kuching Division Zikir Group Coalition, followed by a prayer of thanksgiving by Sarawak's High Priest as well as the Fardu Isyak prayers.

Tun Dr Wan Junaidi later also enjoyed a dinner with guests and the congregation in the courtyard of the mosque. The ceremony was part of the celebration to mark TYT's 80th Birthday which runs till October 11.

Among others were the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith at UNIFOR Complex on 9 October as well as a summit celebration through the Mass and Rally of Giants as well as the People's Concert on 10 October in Padang Merdeka.

In the meantime, the Sarawak State Degree Awards ceremony was also held at the Sarawak State Astana Staff Hall.

In the afternoon, the State Dinner Meeting will be held in the Santapan Hall, Sarawak State Assembly (DUN) Complex.

The four-day reception will conclude with a tea party at the Pullman Hotel.
