KUCHING (April 25): Yang di-Pertua Negeri Tun Pehin Sri Dr Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar paid his last respects to the late Dato Sri Datin Patinggi Puan Sri Dr Yong Sau Kan, wife of former deputy chief minister the late Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Dr Wong Soon Kai, at her family residence along Jalan Tabuan here.
He was accompanied by his wife, Toh Puan Datuk Patinggi Fauziah Mohd Sanusi, during the visit to extend condolences to the bereaved family.
They arrived at about 3.30pm and were received by the late’s children, Dr Wong Chee Liang and Dr Wong Chee May, as well as other family members.
Wan Junaidi and his wife spent time paying their final respects and conveying condolences to the family.
They also offered prayers for the family to be granted strength, resilience and peace during this time of grief.
Earlier, SUPP Women’s chief Kho Teck Wan, together with representatives from the party’s women’s sections in Kuching, Pending and Piasau, were among those who paid their respects.
