TYT, Prime Minister attends the Thanksgiving Day Malaysia 2026

KUCHING, 15th September: Celebration of Malaysia Day 2026 Sarawak Levels continued with spiritual fulfillment through Thanksgiving Meeting held at Jamek State Mosque in Sarawak, tonight.

The council was attended by the elder of Sarawak State, Tun Pehin Sri Dr Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar along with his wife, Toh Puan Datuk Patinggi Fauziah Mohd Sanusi.

At 6.30 pm, Tun Wan Junaidi and his wife were greeted by the Minister of Tourism, Creative Industries and Performing Arts of Sarawak, Minister Responsible for Connecting Malaysia Day 2026, Dato Sri Abdul Karim Rahman Hamzah as well as Deputy Minister of Utility (Sarawak Energy Berhad and PETROS), Datuk Ibrahim Baki.

Prime Minister of Sarawak, Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg and the Secretary to the Government of Sarawak, Datuk Amar Mohamad Abu Bakar Marzuki were also present.

The event was also attended by nearly a thousand congregations and people who were present together to express their gratitude for the Sarawak Level 2026 Malaysia Day Celebration.

The assembly began with the Maghrib fardu prayer, before continuing with Yaasin reading led by Sarawak High Priest Mustapha Kamal Ahmad Fauzi.

The spiritual filling was continued with a series of marhaban zikir along with the Sarawak Islamic Council Qur'an Teacher Zikir Group (MIS), before the prayer of thanksgiving was completed by the High Priest of Sarawak.

The 2026 Sarawak Level Malaysia Day Celebration Awards Ceremony is a space to express gratitude for the peace, harmony and spirit of unity that continues to be the foundation of multicultural society in Sarawak.

Following the ceremony are Ministers and non-Muslim nominees along with their spouses.

The event was continued with the prayer of Fardu Isyak on a regular basis before concluding with a dinner party held with the guests of honour and the audience present.
