TYT’s Aidilfitri visit strengthens goodwill, community ties in Miri

MIRI (March 28): Yang di-Pertua Negeri Tun Pehin Sri Dr Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar and his wife Toh Puan Datuk Patinggi Fauziah Mohd Sanusi paid a Hari Raya Aidilfitri visit to Temenggong Abang Mohamed Abang Othman at his residence in Jalan Kampung Luak here yesterday.

The Head of State and his wife were warmly received by the Miri Division Malay community paramount chief and his wife, Hajjah Hairiah Abet.

Also present were family members including Sharifah Nong-Jasima and her husband Muhammad Nur Hakeem Yusop, as well as Tasneen.

The visit was also attended by Minister of Tourism, Creative Industry and Performing Arts Datuk Sri Abdul Karim Rahman Hamzah, who served as minister-in-attendance, together with his wife Datin Sri Hajah Zuraini Abdul Jaabar.

Also accompanying them were Sarawak Transport Minister Datuk Sri Lee Kim Shin and his wife Datin Sri Wong Siew Siong; deputy minister for Tourism, Creative Industry and Performing Arts Datuk Sebastian Ting Chiew Yew; and Pujut assemblyman Mayor Adam Yii.

In a Sarawak Public Communications Unit (Ukas) report, Wan Junaidi and his wife expressed their appreciation to the hosts, describing the visit as a meaningful opportunity to strengthen ties and foster goodwill in the spirit of Aidilfitri.
