Water pipeline integrity testing to cause supply disruption along Jln Tun Jugah from Jan 19–20

KUCHING, Jan 17: Consumers along Jalan Tun Jugah here will experience no water supply, low water pressure, and dirty water beginning January 19 at 10pm and lasting until January 20 at approximately 5am.

According to a notice issued today by Kuching Water Board (KWB), the affected areas include along Jalan Tun Jugah, Jalan Bintangor, Jalan BDC, Jalan Stutong, Jalan Stampin, Jalan Durian Burung, Jalan Luis, Jalan Kempas, Jalan Seladah, Jalan Laksamana Cheng Ho, Jalan Song, Jalan Tabuan Dayak, Jalan Stampin Timur, Jalan Stampin Barat, Jalan Kenny Hill, and surrounding areas.

“KWB will carry out integrity testing of 450mm, 18” and 15” pipelines along Jalan Tun Jugah.

“During the recovery period, consumers will experience low water pressure, air locks, and dirty water. Water tankers will be mobilised to all affected by water supply interruption.

“However, consumers are advised to be prepared for the said occasion and to store enough water for their own consumption. The Board regrets any inconvenience caused to consumers,” it stated.
