Woman in her 90s found dead in Kuching flat after firefighters break open door

KUCHING, Mar 14: A woman in her 90s was found dead in her home at Flat Betong KMC here on Friday night (Mar 13).

According to a report from the Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba), a call was received at 9.10pm, and firefighters from the Padungan station were deployed.

In the report, the caller—who indicated that the victim was their mother—said that the victim was inside the house, but the door could not be opened from the outside.

Upon arrival, firefighters managed to open the door to find the victim unconscious.

Health Ministry officials who arrived at the scene confirmed the victim’s death, who was later handed over to the authorities for further action. — DayakDaly
