KUCHING, Apr 28: A total of 148 individuals were conferred Sarawak state honours in a ceremony that took place today at the Dewan Besar, Astana Negeri Sarawak.

According to the Sarawak Public Communication Unit (Ukas), the event began with the arrival of the Yang di-Pertua Negeri of Sarawak, Tun Pehin Sri Dr Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar, accompanied by his wife, Toh Puan Datuk Patinggi Fauziah Mohd Sanusi.

For the Pingat Pentadbiran Awam Pingat Perkhidmatan Cemerlang (P.P.C.), Mahra Salleh led the list of recipients.

Under the Darjah Yang Amat Mulia Bintang Sarawak Pegawai Bintang Sarawak (P.B.S.), honourees included Mohamad Shiblie Abang Sapuan, Ida Rohana Othman, and Susan Clement Ingun.

Recipients of the Darjah Utama Yang Amat Mulia Bintang Kenyalang Sarawak Pegawai Bintang Kenyalang (P.B.K.) included Charles Benet Ait, Ir Ts. Daniel Punang, and Daniel Jok Wan @ Asa Jau, along with 11 others.

For the Pingat Pentadbiran Awam Pingat Perkhidmatan Bakti (P.P.B.), Lieutenant Colonel Ismanizam Ismail headed the list, followed by Major Chester Richard, Major Muhammad Adam Carlos Rakem, and 16 others.

Meanwhile, Hudien Yusup led 13 recipients for the Darjah Yang Amat Mulia Bintang Sarawak Ahli Bintang Sarawak (A.B.S.).

For the Darjah Utama Yang Amat Mulia Bintang Kenyalang Sarawak Ahli Bintang Kenyalang (A.B.K.), recipients included Baie Barang and Bajung Ambik, together with 19 others.

In the Pingat Pentadbiran Awam category, 36 individuals received awards, with Sub-Inspector Jimmy Ja-Ih at the top of the list.

Additionally, 41 recipients were conferred the Darjah Yang Amat Mulia Bintang Sarawak Bentara Bintang Sarawak (B.B.S.).

The conferment reflects the Sarawak government’s recognition of outstanding service and contributions by individuals across various sectors towards the State’s development and well-being.

Also present were Deputy Minister in the Sarawak Premier’s Department, Datuk Dr Abdul Rahman Junaidi; Deputy Minister for Women, Early Childhood, and Community Wellbeing Development, Datuk Rosey Yunus; and Deputy Minister for Infrastructure and Port Development, Datuk Majang Renggi. — DayakDaily
