19th DUS term set to end with Oct 12-21 sitting, no Bills received yet

KUCHING, Sept 22: The Sarawak Legislative Assembly’s (DUS) 19th term is expected to conclude with its Oct 12–21 sitting, with details of the Bills and agenda expected to be disclosed at a media briefing before the House convenes.

According to TVS, Speaker Tan Sri Datuk Amar Mohamad Asfia Awang Nassar said the upcoming sitting was expected to be the final one for the current term before it expires.

“The upcoming 19th DUS sitting is expected to be the final sitting of the current term before the term expires,” he said.

Asfia said details of the sitting, including its agenda and the Bills to be tabled, were expected to be clarified during the media briefing before the session begins.

“My office has not received any Bills from the State government yet,” he added.

The DUS sitting is scheduled to sit from Oct 12 to 21. — DayakDaily
