KUCHING (Oct 4): The 19th Kuching Natural Farmers’ Market at the Kuching South City Council (MBKS) covered car park tomorrow from 7.30am to 11.30am will feature 36 stalls.
Among them will be regulars selling locally grown vegetables, herbs, fruits such as MD2 pineapples, and other edible plants that are certified organic or natural pesticide-free.
There will also be stalls selling goat’s milk, honey, home-made delicacies, as well as fresh roselle and kedondong juice.
Also popular with visitors are the many exotic flowers, ornamental plants, and organic fertilisers.
The Sarawak Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Animals’ (SSPCA) is also expected to have pets ready for adoption.
Shoppers are reminded to bring their own reusable bags to reduce plastic waste.
Since October 2022, the market has registered around 100 local growers who share their naturally-grown, pesticide-free, and handmade creative offerings.
Themed ‘Shop confidently. Be healthy. Eat safely. Save money!’, the market is held on the first Saturday of each month.
