MIRI, 3 Oct: A total of 282 road sanctioning and upgrading projects have been implemented in the DUN area of Pujut State Legislative Assembly (DUN) since 2022 till date, covering a total distance of 29.56 kilometers at a cost of RM11.1 million.
Miri Mayor Adam Yii Siew Sang said that the implementation of the project is carried out on an ongoing basis every year based on the need to ensure that the road conditions in the area continue to be taken into account.
So far this year, a total of 14 projects have been implemented covering a distance of five kilometers at a cost of RM1.9 million.
He said that the overall figure shows that road remediation and upgrading work in Pujut area has been carried out continuously over recent years.
"In the last four or five years, we have implemented 282 projects in total, covering 29.5 kilometres and RM11 million", he said while addressing the presentation of the Sarawak United People's Party (SUPP) Pujut check here today.
According to him, a total of 26 projects will be implemented in 2022 covering a distance of 8.38 kilometers at a cost of RM2.4 million.
He said that in 2023, a total of 48 projects were implemented covering a distance of 6.95 kilometers at a cost of RM2.76 million, while 81 projects in 2024 involved 4.94 kilometers worth RM1.9 million.
In 2024, a total of 81 projects were implemented covering a distance of 4.94 kilometers at a cost of RM1.9 million.
"In 2025, 130 projects will be implemented covering a distance of 4.19 kilometers at a cost of RM2.13 million", he said.
Meanwhile, 15 NGOs received RM41,000 allocations in the event.
