KUCHING, 1 Oct: The 3R approach of Revisit, Rethink and Recharge is able to strengthen the transformation of Sarawak's organisation through process reassessment, new thinking and continuous human capital development.

Sarawak Government Secretary, Datuk Amar Mohamad Abu Bakar Marzuki said that the approach is not only helping organizations improve existing systems but also important in building future leaders and ensuring continuity of leadership.

"Revisit involves reassessing existing strengths, weaknesses and gaps, especially before any process is digitized", he said speaking on the occasion of Sarawak Corporate Leadership Summit 2026 (SCOPE) today.

Rethink also said he encouraged organizations to find more effective methods through simplification of procedures, resource sharing and collaboration, as well as tailoring service delivery to current needs.

Meanwhile, he said Recharge focuses on human capital development including digital skills, responsible use of artificial intelligence (AI) and leadership empowerment.

He said organizational transformation should be part of the daily work culture and not just involve restructuring or introducing new systems.

He believes that leadership plays an important role in driving transformation, but success must be measured through meaningful and measurable change.

Through the Sarawak Development and Investment Programme (SADIP), he revealed that 3R approach is also used in leadership replacement planning by identifying talent as well as strengthening capabilities in strategic, financial, risk and governance aspects.

Mohamad Abu Bakar said, with Sarawak now entering the last quarter of 2026, the period to 2030 is shortening.

He also hoped that the approach would strengthen the ecosystem of Government-Legally Linked Companies (GLC) and Sarawak's law enforcement bodies to continue playing a greater role in realizing the state development aspirations.

He also urged organizations to dare challenge the old methods, bring forward new ideas and translate them into action. - TVS
