471 participants of Telang Usan passed the B2 driving licence

LONG LAMA, 19 Sept: A total of 471 candidates from Telang Usan District Legislative Assembly (DUN) district have been able to obtain a B2 class driver's license through the B2 Class Driver's License Assistance Program of 2026.

The licensing ceremony took place at SJK(C) Kee Tee Long Lama Hall, today and was completed by Deputy Minister of Transport Malaysia, Datuk Hasbi Habibollah.

Member of the State Assembly (ADUN) Telang Usan, Dato' Dennis Ngau and Director of Road Transport Department (JPJ) Sarawak, Norizan Jili were also present.

According to JPJ Sarawak, all participants successfully obtained licenses after passing the course as well as taking the prescribed theoretical and practical tests.

The DUN Telang Usan program was implemented in collaboration with the Telang Usan Service Centre, JPJ Sarawak and the Batu Niah Sarawak Driving Institute.

"The initiative is helping the public to get a valid driver's license as well as raising awareness about the importance of road safety.

"JPJ Sarawak also expressed appreciation to all parties involved in ensuring that the implementation of the program runs smoothly and achieves the goals set", the statement said.

Participants were reminded to use their skills and knowledge as best they can, in addition to always complying with the law and prioritizing safety while on the road.
