Representatives from the seven Lions Clubs pose for a photo call.
MIRI (Aug 27): Seven Lions Clubs under the Lions Clubs International of District 308-A2 Region 4 in Zone 9 and Zone 10 will hold a joint swearing-in ceremony and dinner on Aug 31, 4.30pm at Pullman Hotel Waterfront Miri.
The clubs are Lions Club of Miri Host, Lions Club of Miri Mandarin, Lions Club of Batu Niah, New Century Lions Club of Miri Resort City, Lions Club of Lutong, Lions Club of Miri Central and Lions Club of Marudi Mandarin.
In a joint statement, it explained the swearing-in ceremony holds special significance as it brings together seven Lions Clubs for a joint inauguration ceremony, showcasing the power of unity among them.
“It would be a special occasion as we have invited Lions from Singapore, Taiwan, the Philippines and other countries to come and witness such a historic moment here,” it said.
The ceremony will be graced by Lions Club International District 308-A2 Governor Annie Ho Chui Leng, first vice district 308-A2 Governor Dato Winnie Lee and second vice district 308-A2 Governor Jimmy Tie.
