KUCHING, March 3: Kuching police have arrested a 70-year-old man to assist in the investigation of a sexual harassment case involving two sisters in Kampung Sungai Batu, Jalan Sultan Tengah.

Kuching District Police chief ACP Alexson Naga Chabu confirmed the arrest, which took place at around 11.25pm on Monday (March 2) in the village.

“The case is being investigated under Section 354 of the Penal Code, which carries a maximum penalty of 10 years’ imprisonment, and may also include a fine or whipping upon conviction,” he said in a statement today.

Alexson urged parents and guardians to closely monitor the safety and whereabouts of their children to prevent similar incidents.
