Abang Johari attends Unity Government Leadership Consultative Council meeting

KUCHING: Premier and Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) president Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg attended the inaugural Unity Government Leadership Consultative Council meeting of the year at Seri Perdana, Putrajaya, yesterday (Jan 22).

Chaired by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, the meeting focused on the appointment of the new Senate President and the selection of candidates for the position, following the recent resignation of Tan Sri Dr Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar on Jan 19.

Deputy Prime Minister and GPS Chief Whip Datuk Seri Fadillah Yusof, along with Sarawak United People’s Party (SUPP) president Datuk Amar Dr Sim Kui Hian, were also present at the meeting.
