Abang Johari’s message reinforces accountability, delivery, says Batu Kitang rep

KUCHING (Jan 14): Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg’s emphasis on accountability and responsibility stands as a vital reminder for all public officials to perform their duties with diligence, discipline, and sincerity, said Dato Lo Khere Chiang.

The Batu Kitang assemblyman said that the Premier’s message, which highlights 2026 as a critical turning point for Sarawak, will continue to direct engagement with all stakeholders in a spirit of unity and shared purpose.

“This is to ensure that Sarawak’s development remains people-centred and sustainable in the spirit of ‘segulai sejalai’ (together in unity),” he said in a statement.

Lo expressed appreciation for Abang Johari’s clear leadership, affirming that he will continue to follow the direction set out in the Premier’s address.

“Sarawak is entering a more challenging and decisive phase of development,” he said.

“The Premier has rightly emphasised that our collective focus must now be on delivery and achieving tangible outcomes that bring real and lasting benefits to the people.

“Under Abang Jo’s leadership, Sarawak has laid down strong foundations and established clear pathways forward.”

He expressed confidence that with these frameworks in place, development initiatives will continue to be effectively implemented on the ground.
