Admission results for public universities, public higher education institutions, MARA out May 22

KUCHING, May 7: The results of applications for admission to public universities (UA), public higher education institutions (IPTA), and MARA Higher Education Division (MARA BPT) for Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) leavers will be released on May 22.

In a statement today, the Ministry of Higher Education said results for certificate, foundation and diploma programmes for the 2026/2027 Academic Session will be available for checking from 12 noon on the announcement date until 5pm on May 31, 2026.

Applicants can check their results online via https://upu.mohe.gov.my, through the UPUPocket mobile application, or the MyGov mobile app.

“The offers of placement for the 2026/2027 Academic Session are final, and requests to change study programmes at UA, IPTA and MARA BPT will not be entertained.

“Confirmation of acceptance must be made from May 23 to May 31, 2026, via the respective UA, IPTA and MARA BPT websites. Official offer letters will be issued starting May 23 to candidates who have confirmed acceptance within the stipulated period,” the statement said.

The ministry added that only unsuccessful applicants or those offered certificate-level programmes are eligible to submit appeals via UPUOnline at https://upu.mohe.gov.my, within 10 days from 12 noon on May 22 until 5pm on May 31.

Appeals to Community Colleges may be submitted directly to the respective institutions without going through UPUOnline.

“The appeal process is subject to the availability of vacancies based on programmes after the completion of new student registration,” the statement added. — DayakDaily
