KUCHING, Mar 10: The Sarawak Public Works Department (JKR Sarawak) has announced that the Batang Igan Bridge will be opened to the public on March 16, improving connectivity for residents in the Mukah Division.
In a statement today, JKR Sarawak said the opening of the bridge would provide smoother travel for local communities and reduce reliance on ferry services across the Batang Igan river.
“This opening comes at a timely moment for residents in the area, particularly as the Hari Raya Aidilfitri celebrations approach,” the department said.
JKR Sarawak added that it remains committed to delivering quality infrastructure to enhance public connectivity and improve the wellbeing of the people. — DayakDaily
