Razali had earlier been admitted following complications from multiple health conditions, including a heart valve problem, gallstones, kidney issues and diabetes.

His condition had drawn concern from the media fraternity, with colleagues rallying to offer support and assistance during his hospitalisation.

Earlier this month, his medical emergency prompted reflection on the welfare of journalists, after he was rushed to hospital and required urgent treatment.

The incident struck a chord among fellow media practitioners, highlighting how quickly journalists can go from covering stories to becoming part of them.

Tributes had also poured in, with appreciation extended to first responders as well as national and State leaders who expressed concern over his condition.

Razali’s passing is a significant loss to the media community, where he was known for his dedication and years of service behind the lens.

His situation had also sparked broader conversations on the need for stronger welfare support for journalists, particularly when they face health crises.

Funeral arrangements are expected to be announced by his family. — DayakDaily
