KUCHING (Nov 3): In an effort to improve the safety of water sports, Bintulu Port Holdings Berhad (BPHB) donated 30 units of life jackets to Sarawak Rivers Board following the tragedy that befell regatta participants two weeks ago.

The symbolic handover took place at the ‘Bintulu Port Corporate Box’ compound at Kuching Waterfront, in conjunction with the Sarawak Regatta 2024.

The donation was received by Sarawak Rivers Board controller Lt Col (R) Ding Tiew Wong from BPHB chief executive officer Ruslan Abdul Ghani, and witnessed by BPHB board member Datuk Sri Fong Joo Chung and the Leadership Team.

BPHB is a major deep sea port operator in Malaysia that oversees management of Bintulu Port, Samalaju Industrial Port, and Biport Bulkers.

It offers various services a port that meets the needs of various local and regional industries, including the oil and gas sector, renewable energy, and palm oil products.

It is determined to promote sustainable growth and deliver value to its shareholders, while prioritising social responsibility and environmental conservation.
