KUCHING: A blood donation drive and free health screening will be held at Emart King Centre here on Sept 26 to encourage community participation in blood donation and promote better health awareness.
Organised by the Malaysian Red Crescent Stampin Branch in collaboration with JKKK Kawasan Simpang Tiga Kenyalang, the programme will run from 9am to 2pm at Level 2 of the shopping centre.
The blood donation drive aims to encourage public participation and help maintain a stable blood supply for hospitals across Sarawak.
Meanwhile, Diabetes Malaysia Sarawak Branch will provide free health screening services as part of the programme to promote health and well-being within the community.
The screening will include blood pressure and blood glucose checks, body mass index (BMI) assessment and health consultations.
Successful blood donors will receive goodie bags as a token of appreciation for their contribution.
Healthy individuals aged 18 and above are encouraged to participate in the programme.
Donors are advised to have a light meal before donating and bring their identification documents.
