SIBU (Jan 20): Delta Leasing Bhd has hit another successful year, with the company registering a RM6 million profit after tax.

Executive chairman Dr Gregory Hii said the encouraging result was attributable to its hire-and-purchase lending, business loans, contribution from its subsidiary Masuci, its associates, as well as share investment and rental income.

“With expanding business volume as budgeted for 2026, I foresee the profit for this year will continue to grow by about five per cent,” he said in a statement.

Established in 2008, Delta Leasing now runs five branches: Sibu, Kuching, Bintulu, Miri, and Kota Kinabalu in Sabah.

“Of course, should we succeed in adding a new branch this year, we should see even greater profit,” said Hii.

However, he acknowledged that as in any business, successful operations relied greatly on human resources and productivity.

“In this connection, we have to leverage technology, using IT (information technology) to improve our deliveries to customers, and also in our work process.”

He also reminded staff to acquire new skills, including handling e-invoicing.

Meanwhile, Hii said as a gesture of appreciation for the staff, the company recently hosted a Singapore-Johor outing for them.

“I hope the trip to Singapore was both enjoyable, and a good learning experience to broaden our mindset.”

Hii also reminded his staff about the company’s 20th anniversary celebration in 2028.

“Let us work towards that, and ensure that we have even better reasons to celebrate,” he added.
