BAU (Nov 30): The Christmas season is hoped to further strengthen harmony and unity among Sarawakians, said State Deputy Transport Minister Dato Henry Harry Jinep.
Speaking at Bau town’s Christmas tree lighting ceremony, he noted that the day also marked the First Sunday of Advent, the start of the Christian preparation for Christmas.
“Today, with the lighting of this Christmas tree, we hope to receive more blessings from our Lord to continue guiding us.
“May we be granted protection, wisdom and strength as we serve our community, and continue to live in harmony and unity, filled with love and joy as we await the celebration of Christ’s birth,” he said.
