BINTULU, Sept. 21: Sporting activities such as pickleball tournaments are able to strengthen ties and build trust between departments, government-related companies (GLCs) and the private sector.
Deputy Secretary to Government of Sarawak (Administration), Richard Lon said that cooperation and communication between all sectors is essential in the face of increasingly complex challenges.
"Although some of us may experience exhaustion or exhaustion after action, it is an experience that strengthens our relationship. It's not about winning, it's about connecting.
"Over the court, we could laugh, break some formal protocols and build trust among ourselves.
"When we return to the meeting table, work affairs, discussions and problem solving between departments and sectors will be easier and harmonious", he said.
He said this during his address to the Hon'ble Board of Trustees of the Sarawak Government Secretary at a hotel here, last night.
He believes that such activities provide an opportunity for participants from different departments and sectors to interact in a more relaxed atmosphere, thereby building closer relationships.
He believes that the interconnectedness outside of the office can help create better communication and cooperation when they return to their respective duties. -TVS
