KUCHING, Jan 27: The number of sick projects in Sarawak has been reduced from 96 in January 2022 to only two this year.

In stating this, Deputy Premier and Minister of Infrastructure and Port Development (MIPD) Datuk Amar Douglas Uggah Embas expressed his gratitude to the Sarawak Public Works Department (JKR) for its remarkable success.

Uggah speaks during the JKR High-Performance Team (HPT) Retreat programme held at Damai Lagoon Resort, Kuching, on Jan 27, 2024.

“This is made possible through all your cooperation, understanding and ability to work together as a team.

“It is important to be part of the solution to be able to solve the problems, so strive to build bridges and seek solutions; don’t create barriers that would only exacerbate the problem,” he said when officiating JKR High-Performance Team (HPT) Retreat programme held at Damai Lagoon Resort here today.

Meanwhile, Sarawak JKR director Datu Richard Tajan informed that the two projects are the Limbang Integrated Administrative Centre (IAC) in Limbang division and the upgrading/repair works to the existing road from Sungai Indai to Kampung Plaie, Kampung Pendawan and Kampung Mentu in Samarahan division. — DayakDaily
