KUCHING, Oct 4: Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Patinggi Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi has arrived in Kuching for a two-day working visit starting today.
According to a report by Sarawak Information Department (Japen), he landed at 4.15pm via a Royal Malaysian Air Force (RMAF) aircraft at Kuching International Airport (KIA), where he was greeted by Sarawak’s Deputy Minister of Tourism, Creative Industry, and Performing Arts (MTCP) Datuk Snowdan Lawan.
Tomorrow morning, Zahid is scheduled to depart for the SALCRA Bajo Training Centre in Lundu before continuing to attend the Leaders Meet the People event at the Centre for Technology Excellence Sarawak (CENTEXS) in Lundu.
In the afternoon, he will visit the Jumaani Pavilion in Kuching before returning to the capital on a special flight at 3.15pm.
Also present were the Deputy Minister of Rural and Regional Development, Datuk Rubiah Wang, and CENTEXS chief executive officer, Syeed Mohd Hussien Wan Abdul Rahman. — DayakDaily
