Dr Sim now Datuk Amar, heads list of recipients of state awards

KUCHING (Aug 15): Deputy Sarawak Premier Datuk Amar Dr Sim Kui Hian led 149 recipients during the State award investiture ceremony today.

The ceremony held at the Astana Negeri Sarawak here saw Dr Sim receiving the Darjah Utama Yang Amat Mulia Bintang Kenyalang Sarawak Datuk Amar Bintang Kenyalang (DA) which carries the title “Datuk Amar”, from Tuan Yang Terutama Yang di-Pertua Negeri Tun Pehin Sri Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar.

Receiving the Panglima Setia Bintang Sarawak (PSBS) was Temenggong Dato Nunong Dandan, while Tupong assemblyman Fazzrudin Abdul Rahman received Johan Bintang Kenyalang (JBK).

Nine individuals received the Pegawai Bintang Sarawak (PBS) award and another 23 received the Pegawai Bintang Kenyalang (PBK).

Nineteen civil servants received the Pingat Perkhidmatan Bakti (PPB), while 21 individuals received the Ahli Bintang Sarawak (ABS) award and another 18 received the Ahli Bintang Kenyalang (ABK).

Twenty-nine individuals received the Pingat Perkhidmatan Terpuji (PPT), while another 27 received the Pingat Bentara Bintang Sarawak (BBS).

The ceremony was witnessed by Wan Junaidi’s wife Toh Puan Fauziah Mohd Sanusi, Dr Sim’s wife Datin Amar Enn Ong Siok Ean, Minister in the Sarawak Premier Department Dato Sri John Sikie Tayai, and Deputy Minister of Energy and Environmental Sustainability Datuk Dr Hazland Abang Hipni.
