Driver rescued from fiery crash

MIRI: A driver was rescued from a fiery accident after his vehicle burst into flames following a self-collision this morning (Jul 7).

The incident occurred at Jalan Miri Bintulu, Batu 12 Lambir.

According to a report by the Lopeng Fire Station, they received an emergency call about the incident at 3.37am.

Upon arrival, firefighters found a Honda car engulfed in flames after crashing onto the road shoulder.

The vehicle was completely burned.

Preliminary information from the scene indicated that the victim had been removed from the vehicle by a passerby and taken to Miri Hospital before the fire department arrived.

The fire department successfully extinguished the blaze, and the operation concluded at 4.29am.

The cause of the accident is under investigation.
