KUCHING, Feb 11: Department of Veterinary Services (DVS) Sarawak director Datu Dr Adrian Susin Ambud and Public Works Department (JKR) Sarawak director Datu Dr Cassidy Morris were among 408 civil servants conferred the Pingat Perkhidmatan Setia (Loyal Service Medal) at a ceremony held at the Sarawak Legislative Assembly (DUS) Complex today.
According to Sarawak Public Communication Unit (Ukas) news, the medal presentation ceremony, marking the first session of 2026, was graced by Sarawak Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg.
A total of 408 recipients from 18 departments and agencies, representing both State and Federal government bodies, were honoured in recognition of their distinguished service and steadfast loyalty to the public service.
Among the other heads of departments who received the medal were Samarahan Division Resident Mohamad Irwan Bahari Bujang, Serian Division Resident Caroline Cleophas Joseph, Lands and Surveys Department Sarawak director Datu Awang Zamhari Awang Mahmood, Department of Agriculture Sarawak director Dominic Chunggat, and Social Welfare Department of Sarawak director Semawi Mohamad.
Several recipients were also recognised for their dedicated and loyal service spanning 39 years in the State civil service.
The Pingat Perkhidmatan Setia symbolises the government’s appreciation for civil servants who have demonstrated exemplary commitment and integrity in carrying out their duties and responsibilities to Sarawak and its people.
Also present were Sarawak Legislative Assembly Speaker Tan Sri Datuk Amar Mohamad Asfia Awang Nasar, Sarawak Secretary Datuk Amar Mohamad Abu Bakar Marzuki, Deputy Speaker Dato Idris Buang, deputy ministers and other distinguished guests. — DayakDaily
