KUCHING (Feb 13): A couple from Selangor struck Toto 4D Jackpot 1 on Feb 7, winning RM23.53 million after betting on their family members’ identity card numbers.
The winners, aged 49 and 66, expressed joy and gratitude when claiming their prize at the STM Lottery head office, saying their long-standing favourite numbers had finally paid off.
In a statement, STM said the winning numbers 6777 and 5085 were placed as a standard RM2 bet, earning the pair RM23,532,445.40.
The younger winner said they had been playing the numbers for many years and never imagined they would one day deliver such a life-changing windfall.
Both winners said they were still coming to terms with the news.
Describing the win as timely, they said the prize felt like a “big angpow” as they prepare to celebrate the upcoming Chinese New Year.
“They plan to expand their business, purchase a house and set aside savings for the future,” STM added.
