KUCHING (Jan 18): The energy was palpable as fans thronged the meet-and-greet session for a rare opportunity to get up close with renowned local Muay Thai fighters.
The session, held in a relaxed yet vibrant setting at Summer Shopping Mall here on Sunday featuring Mikail (‘Miki’) Ghazali, Kabilan Jelevan Thiagarajan and Muhammad Hasbullah Mood, drew a diverse crowd of young admirers and families with parents accompanying their children.
Also making an appearance was Sarawak’s boxing pro Daeloniel McDelon Bong or better known as the ‘Kilat Boy’.
Laughter and animated conversations filled the venue as fans and fight enthusiasts engaged in brief conversations with their favourite World Boxing Council (WBC) champions.
Despite their fierce persona in the ring, the fighters showed their approachable self, warmly signing autographs and posing for photographs throughout the session.
Adding a special touch to the event was a surprise birthday celebration for Kabilan, whose birthday coincided with the occasion.
Fans joined in singing ‘Happy Birthday’, creating a cheerful and memorable moment for everyone and especially the 26-year-old birthday boy and local pro Muay Thai star.
As the session drew to a close, a strong sense of camaraderie lingered as fans were seen leaving the venue smiling, no doubt carrying with them lasting memories to cherish and share.
