KUCHING, May 25: Four students from St Joseph’s International School (SJIS) here have achieved outstanding success in the November 2025 Cambridge AS-Level, A-Level, and IGCSE examinations, earning the prestigious Outstanding Cambridge Learner Awards.
According to a Facebook post, the accomplishments reflect the hard work, discipline, and perseverance of students, as well as the dedication of the school’s teachers and the unwavering support of families.
Out of the four students, the following three achieved ‘Top in the World’ awards:
- Eunice Ooi Jia Yi — Top in the World for Business Studies A-Level
- Carmen Lee Zi Shuen — Top in the World for English as a Second Language (Speaking Endorsement) IGCSE
- Giselle Chen Yan Xin — Top in the World for English as a Second Language (Speaking Endorsement) IGCSE
Adding on to the success, Jameela Khayrin Mohamad Bolhair received the ‘Top in Malaysia for Business Studies AS-Level’ award.
Meanwhile, SJIS Principal Brother Robert Teoh and St Joseph’s Private Schools chief executive officer (CEO) Christopher Chua extended their congratulations to the students for their achievements.
“This is truly exceptional for the school to achieve three ‘Top in the World’ awards in a single examination series,” said Teoh.
“To be recognised as ‘Top in Malaysia’ and ‘Top in the World’ by Cambridge International is an extraordinary accomplishment that places our students among the very best internationally,” added Chua. — DayakDaily
