The prices of RON97 petrol will increase by 10 sen per litre, while non-subsidised RON95 and diesel in Peninsular Malaysia will go up by eight sen per litre from tomorrow, the finance ministry said today.
RON97 will retail at RM3.25 per litre, up from RM3.15 per litre, while non-subsidised RON95 will be sold at RM2.67 a litre, instead of RM2.59
The price of diesel in Peninsular Malaysia will be raised from RM3.04 a litre to RM3.12 a litre.
Subsidised RON95 petrol under the BUDI95 programme will remain at RM1.99 per litre, while diesel in Sabah, Sarawak and Labuan stays at RM2.15 per litre.
These prices are effective until March 11.
In a statement, the ministry said the government will continue monitoring global oil prices and take measures to safeguard public welfare.
“The government will continue to review and adjust petrol RON97, RON95 and diesel
retail prices in line with movements in the current global oil markets. Even so, price
stability remains the foremost priority,” it said.
