KUCHING, March 10: Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) secretary-general and Works Minister Dato Sri Alexander Nanta Linggi has strongly denied recent viral allegations claiming that he made statements regarding political cooperation between GPS and Parti Islam Se-Malaysia (PAS).

“I strongly deny the recent viral allegations claiming that I have made certain statements regarding political cooperation. I have never made such statements, and they are completely untrue,” he said in a post shared on his social media today.

He expressed deep disappointment over the actions of a few irresponsible parties spreading false news that have caused confusion among the public.

“Stop sharing unverified information. Verify the facts before sharing,” he added.

The statement comes in response to a viral infographic suggesting that GPS has no obstacles to cooperating with PAS, which cited Nanta as the party’s secretary-general.

The infographic alleged that in brief, GPS did not say it is forbidden or impossible to cooperate with PAS, and that the issue of GPS being unable to work with PAS has never officially arisen. — DayakDaily
