Missing Bau man found dead between rocks on third day of search ops

BAU, Sept 19: A 29-year-old man who was reported missing from his family’s farm in Kampung Fairy, Lorong 5, here was found dead wedged between rocks on the third day of the search and rescue (SAR) operation today.

The victim, identified as Clement Chimiet Condos, was reported missing at about 10am on Sept 16 after he failed to return from the family’s farm.

According to the Sarawak Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba), the victim’s family had searched the surrounding area before lodging a police report after failing to locate him.

At about 2.50pm today, the search team located the victim approximately 500 metres from his home, at a height of about 20 metres, wedged between rocks.

Firefighters subsequently lowered the victim using a stretcher before handing his remains over to police for further action. — DayakDaily
