KUCHING, Feb 24: Imperial Hotel Kuching hosted 31 individuals from six underprivileged families for a meaningful iftar (fast-breaking) gathering at the Imperial Garden Restaurant last night (Feb 23).
The heartwarming event was part of the hotel’s annual Ramadan corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiative, held in collaboration with HOPE Place Kuching.
The families were treated to a special dining experience at the hotel, where each individual later received ‘duit raya’ and a Ramadan goodie bag filled with daily essentials.
The contributions were presented by the hotel’s general manager, Patrick Kuek, accompanied by HOPE Place president Kelvin Wan and hotel executives.
A hotel spokesperson expressed appreciation to Cat City Holidays Sdn Bhd for sponsoring return transportation between the hotel and the families’ homes.
“Their kindness truly reflects the spirit of giving and compassion during this blessed month of Ramadan,” she said.
Meanwhile, the hotel announced the return of its ‘Jom Makan’ Ramadan Buffet Dinner, available from Feb 19 to March 20.
The buffet features a wide selection of traditional Malaysian cuisine, Sarawak specialities and international favourites, suitable for both Muslims and non-Muslims.
