KUCHING (Sept 4): Kuching will host the inaugural ‘Journal of Pharmaceutical Policy and Practice – Borneo International Pharmaceutical Conference (JoPPP-BIPC) 2024’, at the Borneo Cultures Museum here, taking place this Sept 20 to 24.
Themed ‘Delving into the Future of Medicine and Pharmaceutical Care’, the event aims to bring together leading minds in the pharmaceutical and medical fields.
Event organising chairperson Dr Samuel Ting Chuo Yee, in a statement, said the event would be ‘a melting pot of knowledge, innovation, and collaboration’.
“Our goal is to create a platform that fosters insightful discussion, ground-breaking research, and connect professionals from around the globe,” he said.
The event will feature talks from both local and global institutions, namely University of London, Okayama University, University Huddersfield, Duke-NUS Medical School, Academia Sinica Taiwan, Universitas 17 Agustus 1945 Jakarta, Sarawak Infectious Disease Centre, Sarawak Biodiversity Centre, Swinburne University of Technology Sarawak Campus, and the Clinical Research Centre of Sarawak General Hospital.
Dr Ting remarked that the presentations would open up new avenues for collaboration among scholars, industry leaders, and policymakers.
The conference is supported by the Sarawak Government, with Deputy Premier Datuk Amar Dr Sim Kui Hian to officiated at the opening ceremony.
