JCI Padawan past chief now heads Stampin Youth Section of SUPP

KUCHING (Nov 3): Past president of the Padawan Chapter of Junior Chamber International (JCI) William Bong now heads the Youth Section of the Stampin sub-branch of Sarawak United People’s Party (SUPP).

During the sub-branch’s annual general meeting here today (Nov 3), Bong was elected as the chairman for the 2025-2027 term, taking over from Councillor Kiing Sie Ying.

Kota Sentosa assemblyman Wilfred Yap, also the chairman of SUPP Kota Sentosa, was present to witness the handing-over of duties ceremony.

“I thank you all for all your support, and also to Councillor Kiing, whose service and contributions to this SUPP Youth section will guide me in taking it to the next level.

“I really don’t have much to say, but I do pledge to make this chapter even stronger than before.

“I will prove with my action, not just my words,” said William, the 2018 president of JCI Padawan, in his brief acceptance remarks.

Established in 2022, the Youth Section of the Stampin sub-branch is under the jurisdiction of SUPP Kota Sentosa.

For the 2025-2027 term, William is assisted deputy chairman Phui Vui Siew, as well as vice-chairmen Chai Kwang Jang and Johnny Bong.

The secretary is Tiong Poh Ling, assisted by Drinny Chom and Elvis Chong, while the treasurer is Ervinan Ann Supang Kakak, assisted by Bong Ai Na.

Other posts are organising secretary held by Douglas Bong with assistant Jackie Ling; publicity secretary held Yap Kuoh Haw with assistant Chong Fo Jiu; training secretary held by Vincent Tang with assistant Shia Chia Kiet; as well as committee members Alaric Sim, Dave Kiing, Bong Lee Ting, Choo Shao Heng, Chua Yek Teong, Edgar Lee, Eric Shim and Keith Gleno Richard.
