JPLS strengthens community cooperation through fishing activities

KUCHING, 19 September: A total of 46 participants participated in the KRT Kampung Muara Tebas community-organized Fishing Competition held today.

The programme was accompanied by a karaoke competition as a recreational and social activity that brought the locals together.

This morning's ceremony was attended by the Director-General of Sarawak Department of Marine Fisheries (JPLS), Abdul Rahman Abdul Wahab.

His presence reflects the ongoing relationship and cooperation between JPLS and local communities, particularly in support of fisheries and recreation related activities.

Abdul Rahman said JPLS will continue to strengthen cooperation with the community through implementation of various activities that benefit society.

"The initiative also supports the development of fishing and recreational activities in Sarawak", he said. -TVS
