JPN Kuching counters disrupted by internet outage

KUCHING: Main transaction counters at the National Registration Department (JPN) Kuching are unable to operate as usual following an internet disruption at Bangunan Tun Datuk Patinggi Tuanku Haji Bujang.

JPN Sarawak said in a Facebook post today that the disruption had affected internet connectivity at the building.

It said counter services would resume normal operations once internet connectivity is restored.

“Telekom Malaysia (TM) has been notified of the issue, and repair work is currently underway to restore the affected services,” the department said.

JPN Sarawak added that further updates regarding the status of the restoration will be provided periodically.

The department also apologised for the inconvenience caused and thanked members of the public for their patience and cooperation during the disruption.
