MIRI (July 8): A total of 50 residents from Kampung Tudan Desaras participated in a complementary haircut programme hosted by Persatuan Kebajikan Mulia Masyarakat Miri (PKMMM) yesterday.
Held from 9am to noon, two hair stylists from Layers Hair Studio, Kayden Ngo and Thor Kai Siang contributed their time in making the event a success.
PKMMM president Alan Ling said he was encouraged by the positive response and support received by the residents of the Kampung Tudan Desaras Phase 6 resettlement area.
“Although the gesture is small, the free service is expected to assist ease their financial burden.
“Every good deed, no matter how big or small, will bring joy to others,” he said.
Ling hopes more parties will come forward to conduct similar charity work and social activities to help the less fortunate members of the public here.
Speaking on PKMMM, he said the association will continue to serve its members and the local community through hosting various creative and proactive welfare programmes.
