KKB said its wholly owned subsidiary, OceanMight Sdn Bhd, received a Letter of Award for the provision of minor ePC works for a fixed offshore structure and host tie-in at Erb West, off the coast of Sabah.

KUCHING (Jan 9): KKB Engineering Bhd (KKB) has secured a minor engineering, procurement and construction (ePC) contract from Petronas Carigali Sdn Bhd valued at around RM212 million.

In a bourse filing on Friday, the Sarawak-based industrial engineering firm said its wholly owned subsidiary, OceanMight Sdn Bhd, received a Letter of Award for the provision of minor ePC works for a fixed offshore structure and host tie-in at Erb West, off the coast of Sabah.

The scope forms part of the Belud South Greenfield Development project.

KKB said a formal agreement for the contract will be executed in due course.

The contract is scheduled for completion within 13 months, commencing from Jan 15, 2026.

In terms of financial impact, the company said the contract will not affect its share capital and is expected to contribute positively to the earnings and net assets of KKB and its group over the contract period.

KKB noted that potential risks include execution-related challenges such as the availability of skilled manpower and materials, foreign exchange movements, changes in pricing, weather conditions, as well as political, economic and regulatory factors.
