KUCHING (Nov 3): Thirty-four dogs received rabies vaccinations during a recent campaign focused on vaccination, licencing, microchipping, and health education on rabies held in Kota Samarahan recently.

According to the Department of Veterinary Services Sarawak (DVSS) in a Facebook post today, nineteen dogs received their first dose, while the remaining ones had the booster shots.

“The programme saw 25 pet owners taking the opportunity to ensure their dogs’ health by complying with the licencing regulations,” said the department.

The event, held at the parking lot of Taman Belina@Bukit Berangan Commercials Centre, Kota Samarahan, was jointly organised by the DVSS, Kota Samarahan Municipal Council and Samarahan District Health Office.

It aimed to improve public awareness and prevent the spread of rabies in the region.
