KUCHING (Dec 31): The Rural Transformation Programme (RTP) road upgrading projects at Lorong 8, Jalan Semaba, and Kampung Temedak have been successfully completed.

Kota Sentosa assemblyman Wilfred Yap recently conducted final inspections on both projects, reaffirming the state government’s commitment to people-centric infrastructure development that directly benefits local communities.

Accompanied by officers from Padawan Municipal Council (MPP), Yap inspected the Lorong 8, Jalan Semaba site, which was implemented with an allocation of RM30,000.

“The completed works have significantly improved the road surface, enhanced safety, and ensured smoother daily access for residents along Lorong 8, Jalan Semaba.

“Although modest in scale, the project delivers meaningful improvements to residents’ daily comfort and mobility,” he said in a statement.

In a separate inspection, Yap reviewed the completed RTP road upgrading project at Kampung Temedak, which involved a total cost of RM40,000.

He expressed satisfaction with the quality of the works, noting that the upgraded road will enhance safety and improve accessibility for Kampung Temedak residents.

Yap thanked the Kampung Temedak community for their cooperation and feedback throughout the implementation period.

Reaffirming his commitment to Kota Sentosa, he said the Gabungan Parti Sarawak-led government remains focused on delivering people-centric infrastructure projects that respond directly to community needs.

“I will continue to work closely with MPP to ensure that all approved projects in Kota Sentosa are implemented efficiently, completed on schedule, and meet the required quality standards,” he said.
