Man dies at Miri Native Court while attending trial

MIRI (Oct 5): A 68-year-old man died at the Native Court in the Baitulmal Miri building here at 10am on Friday.

District police chief ACP Alexson Naga Chabu said the deceased had been attending a trial related to a land issue.

“The local man lost consciousnesss while attending trial at the Native Court here. This case is being investigated as sudden death,” he said.

He also advised the public not to speculate on this case or other cases that could cause public unrest.
