Man escapes with minor injuries after car plunges into ravine in Batu Niah

MIRI, April 23: A man escaped with only minor injuries after the car he was driving skidded off the road and plunged into a ravine in Kampung Pelabi Bekenu, Batu Niah, this morning.

The incident, classified as a self-accident, occurred at about 7.40am and involved a Perodua Axia.

Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) Batu Niah, which responded to the emergency, found the victim inside the vehicle but was not trapped.

He sustained only minor injuries and was reported to be in stable condition.

No rescue operation was required, as personnel only assisted in stabilising the victim and ensuring safety at the scene.

The victim was subsequently handed over to paramedics in awaiting ambulance for further medical attention. — DayakDaily
