KUCHING, Apr 7: A 37-year-old man was injured after his hand became trapped in a bread-making machine at a confectionery factory in the Stakan Light Industrial Estate in Kota Samarahan this morning.

In a report from the Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba), a call was received at 11.28am, and firefighters from the Kota Samarahan station were deployed.

Upon arrival, the rescue team extricated the victim’s hand using a hydraulic spreader and hydraulic ram.

It was also noted that the victim sustained injuries to his right wrist following the incident.

The victim was subsequently handed over to the Ministry of Health personnel for further treatment. — DayakDaily
