SCSDU won the Premier Digital Economy Award 2026

KUCHING, 5 Oct: The Sarawak Public Services Digitalization Unit (SCSDU), the Sarawak Premier Department, has made a proud achievement when it embraced the 2026 Premier Digital Economy Awards in conjunction with the Sarawak International Digital Economy Conference 2026 (IDECS26).

The recognition was achieved through a presentation entitled SERVICE SARAWAK: A Government for You - Transforming Public Service Delivery, which also won the Smart Solutions Award.

The awards were presented by Sarawak Premier, Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg at the IDECS26 Gala Dinner here today.

SCSDU also received the Digital Government Award for innovation in SarawakPass.

Meanwhile, Universiti Malaysia Sarawak (UNIMAS) also recorded a proud achievement by bringing home two awards, respectively the Research and Development Award as well as Digital Technology Award.

The Research and Development Award was won through GeMAS, an integrated Geo-AI platform developed to monitor landfall trends.

Meanwhile, the Digital Technology Awards are given through the development of the HEPA Digital smart ecosystem.

The AI Innovation Award was won by NEUON AI Sdn Bhd through the presentation of NEUON D2D highlighting a sovereign artificial intelligence (AI) platform.

In addition, OB Research Sdn Bhd received the Digital Creative Industry Award for Owl & Badger innovation.-TVS
